Job Responsibilities:
- Product Owner manages the entire product development process including peripheral systems across business, IT, and operations.
- Will Research and prioritize the business requirements to determine which features to include on products relating to policy admin systems (PAS)
- They will pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders across business, IT, and operation groups.
- Work with business users across consumer, corporate, digital transformation office, marketing, operations, finance, actuarial aligning the product strategy to the company’s direction.
- Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development departments to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients.
- After product completion, the Product Owner will conduct a final review and submit their approval before releasing the product to clients
Tasks:
- Able to identify, categorize use cases, features, scenarios, functions as applicable to policy admin systems, their peripherals, and (or) related functions, systems, and operations
- Own and drive the entire product management lifecycle associated with one or many products assigned to him focusing on the policy administration and related functional and systems matters
- Should have an ability to prioritize business requirements shared/stated by the business user group effectively
- Act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development departments and stakeholders in IT, business, and operations
- Work closely with other product owners to collaborate, communicate and considerate of products, features, and backlog
- Assess associated risks relating to the products, its roadmap and come out with a proactive measure to avoid and mitigate the same working with product/development teams
- Adopt and execute Company’s product/project management methodology, tools and techniques and ensure adherence to security, regulatory and architectural aspect including business needs / priorities
- Create, update, socialize and manage all the needed documentation relating to the products assigned, their relationship with other products.
- Participate, support, and provide the relevant product related information and representation in internal / external meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related study
- 12+ years of relevant product owner experience in insurance industry
- Knowledge of insurance core systems and peripheral technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Excellent knowledge of user-centred design principles
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work with large teams
- Understanding of design quality standards
